Frequently asked questions
What happens when I contact you?

We will arrange a convenient time to talk with you to understand which service you want to access. Once agreed we will arrange a date for an assessment session. Lasting up to 90 mins to ensure understanding of your needs.

What does culturally safe mean?

You will be able to speak in a manner that reflects your Black African/Afro Caribbean culture without having to provide an in depth or historical explanation of all your nuances, beliefs and traditions. We acknowledge that sharing a culture should not mean a lost of individuality. You will be able to express your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. This is your confidential safe space.

What if I am not comfortable with technology?

That is completely understandable and we will work with you to find a solution that suits your needs.

What happens after the assessment?

Once we have agreed that this is the right service for you, we will agree your regular session appointment and introduce you to your counsellor/advocate.

What kind of things can you help with?

Sessions are weekly and occasionally fortnightly.

How much will it cost?
